The Marine Building

The Marine Building, in which our restaurant is located, was built in the 1930s. It is one of the finest heritage office buildings in Canada and the pride of Vancouver. At the time it was built, its detailed motifs were considered radical and futuristic. It still is an important landmark here, with a special heritage status as an internationally acclaimed example of art décor architecture. Ornate terra-cotta friezes depicting the city’s transportation history includes carvings of submarines, airships and locomotives.

The view from the floor to ceiling windows of the restaurant offers guests a magnificent view of the North Shore and its snow-capped mountains. Watch for the graceful flight and landing of the seaplanes in the summertime. Any season, by day or night, behold the majestic beauty of the westcoast and let your spirit soar!
